After nearly a year of heavy usage in electrical work, I have very few complaints. It prints superbly. It’s easy to use. Panel boards, patch panels, faceplates - it does them all and it does them well. Tape is easy to find, relatively inexpensive, and easy to use. Whatever type you insert, the little elves do their thing and the machine adjusts settings like magic. No filing your thumbnails either; I especially like the extra tag that aids in separating label from backing, even if it does use a bit more tape. I did have a few issues with the laminate separating, but only when I folded the tape around a wire and stuck it to itself, and only with 18mm, which runs slightly beefier. No real issues with 9mm and 12mm. Still, it wasn’t a huge problem and was probably an issue with the tape manufacturer. The lack of an apostrophe function on the keypad seems like an omission of sorts, but I’ve rarely needed it - and you can find it easily via the Symbol key. I’ve also experimented with heat shrink labels and now want to redo every panel I’ve ever done. I love that you can get two lines of clearly legible font on an 8.8mm label, which shrinks snugly around a #12 gauge wire. This allows for much more circuit clarification and is super handy where you have one circuit serving several functions. Overall, it’s a pleasure to use, and even, dare I say - fun. No regerts.I have used these in the past for work and now have one for the home office. Works perfectly.Exelente calidad, un abuena inversiónI had a previous model from about 10 years ago. This is a wonderful upgrade. It includes WiFi connectivity, better cutting of labels an updated interface and more. Wonderful. My only complaints is that common symbols such as @, / and more are not on the immediate keyboard. You have to go into the menus to find them. The good news is that there's a memory of recently used symbols so once you've used them, they're easily available. That mitigates the issue somewhat. The other complaint is that the case has three issues: First, there are a handful of compartments with no idea what fits there. Second, I don't find enough space for tape cartridges to be held securely. Third, the hinge on the case is plastic. Repeated use will cause the hinge to break (This happened with a previous case and finding a replacement hinge was problematic.) Overall, though, the product is great. A wonderful upgrade.I've used the cheapy $20 label printers for 10 years and while they certainly do the job, and are inexpensive and portable, there are things...... Like how difficult it is to get the backing off the sticker. How clunky it is to make several labels quickly. And they are only convenient if you don't want to do anything fancy. The moment you try to make them look different, you're into menu diving and it slows you down. It can only only print horizontally and on 1 size of tape.Enter this monster. It's industrial strength build quality makes it feel like one of those things UPS drivers carry with them. Feels solid. Comes in a case you could happily throw from a moving vehicle without worry. The use by itself, is easy, and I was printing LAN identifier stickers in minutes. Thought it was great. Then I tried USB and the software, and that was even better. How could it get any better? Then I tried the IOS app and wifi mode, and carried it around the house with me, and printed a ton of lan and cable identifier stickers, labeled my smart home switches so people can tell the ceiling fan switch from the light switch. Labeled a bunch of parts boxes and stuff with text and barcodes for figuring out where my stuff in in my over crowded storage boxes. This took hours, and it didn't run out of battery, or give me any headaches. You get used to stuff not worknig, or not working in the way you hope it will work, because things are never easy, but this thing basically does what it says it does, and it does it without fuss or troubleshooting being required. It just works, and once you label all your audio, video, computer, and network cables and never again have to guess what you're unplugging later, you will beam with joy.I install network equipment and monitors that require equipment labels and port labeling and this product has done everything that I have needed it to do.Great printer, awful software. Loves to waste extra material. Needs changes to the software so that if I am plugging in label after label it won’t auto advance an inch and cut off a wasted piece. Same story with phone interface or printing via the keypad. If you use a computer it will print multiple labels, but the software design is klunky, awkward and just miserable. I’m pretty sure the engineering teams primary function was to make sure you waste as much label material as possible. SimpleSoftware updates would fix all of these gripes. And the lithium ion battery falls out too easy. Add a piece of tape to it.Buy the Chinese consumables. They are half the price and work just as good.Gonna start off with this printer works really well. But unfortunately like all these hand held printers it uses a lot of the label when printing individual labels. The reason I took a star off is for a printer at this price point the keyboard feels very cheap. This unit is worth everything you pay for it and more. Easy to use either alone or connected to a computer or iPad. You can design and save complex labels. I recently build a Hydraulic Test Bench and the customer needed it to be properly labeled. We were talking about Engraved White/Black plastic labels but they loved the 3/4" Black on Yellow Labels. I also did the whole machine on a little more than 1/2 a cartridge. The engraved labels would have cost me as much as this whole machine. Great carrying case too. The tapes are about 3 times longer than the competitors tapes.Wonder full toll to use
