The Black & Decker CHV1410 14.4-Volt Cordless Hand Vac has 50% more reach than the previous Dust buster design for less bending and better accessibility. Lightweight and portable for quick clean-ups! The rotating, slim nozzle targets dirt in tight spaces. Brush and crevice tool accessories are located on-board so there are no loose items to misplace. The wide mouth design means this vac can effortlessly scoop up large debris. Cyclonic action spins dust and debris away from the filter so suction power stays strong. A Translucent, bag less dirt bowl makes it easy to see dirt and easy to empty. Removable, washable dirt bowl and filters allow for a thorough, hygienic cleaning. It uses a 3 stage filtration system that means less clogging and cleaner air exhaust. I can be stored in 3 versatile ways: horizontally, vertically, or mount on a wall. Now I hate my vac. Worked well enough for a year. Past few months though, it wouldn't hold a charge. Not even sure what the problem is anymore. For awhile I needed to make sure the charge was completely gone before recharging. Now it really doesn't matter. It never charges, whether completely dead or a little charged. Sometimes it gets a little charged. Sometimes no charge at all. The most I get is about 5 seconds of low low sucking, which only pushes the dirt around. So basically useless and not sure why I bother except I must be very optimistic and waiting for a miracle (and I hate throwing stuff out, or having to take things to recycling ctr for the parts.) I have all the paperwork but I'm not paying to send this thing anywhere so I'll go back to sweeping and someday get a better hand vac. And this will be a nice decoration on our totally ugly walls. (Really, the walls are that ugly that the vac "wall hanging" is an improvement!)I had a dustbuster back in the 80s. It wasn't very good and I didn't really have high expectations for this one. But I read enough reviews that said this model was good for picking up cat litter and I was willing to give dustbuster a chance since it had been a few decades. So far I'm loving this mini-vac. I use it daily to get up stray litter around our two cat boxes and on the rugs. It's not meant to replace vacuuming around here but it does mean we don't have to vacuum the house as often as we used to. We recently had to switch litter for a picky new cat and were suddenly dealing with tracked grains of clumping litter. Not tons, but enough to bug me, especially as I'm working at home, barefoot a lot and don't like the dirty feel under my feet. I can't believe how well this thing sucks up litter! I love the extended nozzle; it gets into corners really well. So far the vac has picked up everything I've wanted it to, like misplaced kibble pieces, the cardboard shreds from the cat-scratching box, bits of grass from the yard. I wouldn't expect to clean a whole house with it, if for no other reason than it's tiring bending over like that (I'm pretty tall). The fold-out brush feature is pretty okay too and I can get some of the cathair off the sofa and beds. I realize I don't have any recent product to compare this to except the little broom I had been using so I find this dustbuster plenty powerful for my needs. The charge goes maybe 15 mins before slowing down. I'm usually done mini-vacuuming in less than 10. The mount happens to fit perfectly in our kitchen near an outlet, which is pretty lucky since we have few convenient outlets. The vac does make noise so I don't use it when someone's trying to sleep. Only one "accident" so far: small toy mouse got sucked partway in :) But we got it out. The vacuum is easy to clean as far as I'm concerned, though I admit my standards of convenience are low. (I wash all dishes by hand and hang clothes to dry, as we have neither dishwasher nor dryer. The point being, if you're used to things being really really easy, then maybe this isn't.) I dump out the inside every day and just did my first filter washing after about 3 months of use. It was super easy to wash and put back together. I was concerned, living in a house as damp as a swamp, that the cloth part wouldn't dry but it's made of that nice quick-dry synthetic stuff of course. One warmish day and it was ready to go back in. And the machine worked way better than it had in the past month! Not that it wasn't working well, but washing the filters got it right back to how it was at first. So I'll be washing filters monthly. Perhaps my "enjoyment" of the dustbuster is more my happiness with the fact that we finally found a litter that the new cat will use. But I wouldn't be so happy about the litter if I didn't have this quick sucker-upper to take care of it!i didn't really expect the world or anything. wanted it to do some spot-vacuuming around corners, desk, inside PC case (see 2nd paragraph in "Other Thoughts"), and sometimes to suck up a fly or something. Works for me.PROS:-rechargeable.-pretty easy to empty/clean (all parts that come in contact with dust/whatever can be disassembled easily and washed).-convenient.-does the above jobs relatively well (see cons).-comes with a hook to screw onto the wall so you can hand it.-sits upright @ 60-degree angle (relatively compact storage position if you don't want to screw the hook into your wall)-extendable nozzle.-2-Year warranty.CONS:(before reading, and to be fair, keep in mind that it has 50-75% [making that up] of the suction power my $100 house vacuum's hand-tube thingy)-loud and powerful-sounding motor but not as much suction power as you would expect from that.-the extendable nozzle is about 2x as thick as that flat-skinny-angled attachment on your regular vacuum. would have more suction if nozzle was smaller or came with an attachment that made it smaller.-that brush is attached to the short/main/parent nozzle, so when you extend the inner nozzle you can't use the brush.Other Thoughts:Take my suction-power comment with a grain of salt - I haven't owned another hand-vac, so IDK how to compare the power of this thing. My house vacuum isn't fancy, so IDK if its power is a good comparison of what should be expected from one of these little guys. I vacuumed my stairs with it, which was effective - got all the stuff up - but it felt like it took longer for the particles to travel into the vacuum - and hence the amount of time to vacuum - if that makes any sense. On the other hand, I didn't have to lug a vacuum cleaner up every 3rd step.Regarding cleaning out a desktop PC, it's not going to suck the dust out of the case fans, heatsink, or graphics card. I used canned air to get that stuff out and into the case, then this guy to get that stuff out. Again, I feel like if there was a skinnier attachment for the nozzle, it would fare better. I'm considering rigging something up, will edit post if I ever get around to that successfully.Overall, I'm content and think that the price-value is borderline "Fair". I think that there's about $10 tacked on for some of the fancy features which you may or may not care about. Definitely feel like there's only $30 of suction power in it (again, I may be misguided in my expectations due to inexperience). Still impressed about that 2-year warranty. please do read other reviews and consider those, don't let me alone sway your opinion.Item shipped quickly and was well-packed, new in box. Works like a charm, even before I charged it! A little heavier than my previous version, but I hope it lasts as long as it has. A great transaction.Mala.. Nada. FuncionalIt is a powerful cleaner. I am happy that it serves what I need.
